About the piece
The Way to the Water
The great monasteries sat on crossings. Clonmacnoise took the point where the Shannon met the east-west ridge road, and grew rich on it — pilgrims, traders, tolls and a market, arriving by boat and by track. Holiness and logistics chose the same sites, and everybody knew which one paid for the other.
The Way to the Water is the route between the enclosure and the reason it could afford to be there.
How the artwork is made
Modern tools. Irish creative direction.
Each work is imagined, directed, curated and edited in Ireland using modern digital creative tools, including elements of AI. The story, visual direction and final selection are shaped by The Celtic Factor.
