About The Celtic Factor

THE PAST TRAVELS WITH US

Across oceans. Across generations.
Into the present.

The Celtic Factor brings art, identity and heritage into the spaces we call home. Created in Ireland, our collections explore people, symbols, landscapes and places — rooted in Ireland and carried forward into the present.

Whether your connection is inherited, discovered or simply felt, there is room for you in this story.

Why The Celtic Factor exists

Irish and Celtic culture has never stood still. It has travelled through language, story, music, symbols, migration and imagination — changing as it moved, without losing where it began.

The Celtic Factor was created in Ireland to explore that living connection. Not souvenir Ireland. Not history frozen behind glass. Art that starts with the past and asks what it can mean in the present.

A note from Pól

I believe heritage matters most when it is carried forward, not kept behind glass. Ireland’s stories have always travelled — through language, migration, memory, music and the things people choose to keep. For some, that connection is inherited; for others, rediscovered generations later. The Celtic Factor begins with that idea: giving those stories a visual language for the present.

I’m less interested in repeating familiar symbols than in exploring what lies beneath them — the people and places, carved stone and Atlantic coastlines, warriors and monasteries, departures and returns, and that enduring sense of belonging. Every piece begins somewhere in that world: with a person, a place, a symbol or a story, then is researched, directed, developed, edited and refined in Ireland.

Contemporary digital tools, including elements of AI, are part of that process — but they are tools. They do not decide which stories matter, what a piece should say, or what belongs in the collection. The past travels with us. The work is about what we choose to carry forward.

How the artwork is made

Every piece begins with an idea, story, place or symbol. The work is then developed through research, visual direction, selection, composition and editing in Ireland.

Our artwork is imagined, directed, curated and edited in Ireland. We use modern digital creative tools, including elements of AI, as part of the creative process — alongside human judgement, cultural research, composition and refinement.

The tools are modern. The direction is human. The story is the point.
