The Emerald Sentinel
A sentinel's whole function is to be still while everything else moves. Mist does the work here that time does everywhere else — softening the outline until it is unclear whether this figure has been standing for an hour or a thousand years. He is imagined rather than historical, which is rather the point.
The Emerald Sentinel holds a position nobody remembers assigning, and holds it anyway.
