Guardian of the Stones
Carved stone was Ireland's first archive. Ogham strokes cut along a standing edge recorded a name and a lineage and nothing else — no deeds, no dates, just that this person was, and belonged to these people. To guard the stones was to guard the only proof anyone had existed. The figure here is imagined; the stakes were real.
Guardian of the Stones stands where memory was kept before anyone thought to write it down.
