Into the Clearing
Fosterage was the ordinary way to raise a child in early Ireland. You were sent to another household, and the bond formed there could outrank blood for the rest of your life. Belonging was something you arrived into rather than something you were born holding. This young warrior is imagined, caught at exactly that moment.
Into the Clearing is about the step you take before anyone has decided whether you are one of them.
