Courage in the Flame
Fire in Irish story is almost never destructive. It is Brigid's flame at Kildare, tended without interruption for centuries. It is the hearth that defines the house. It is the light you walk toward. This warrior is imagined rather than historical, but the placement is deliberate: framed by fire under a full night sky, she is not in danger.
Courage in the Flame is a portrait of the one place where a person can be clearly seen.
