The Path of Memory
Most Irish parishes had a coffin road — the route a body took to the graveyard, with resting stones along it where the bearers changed shoulders and everyone caught their breath. The road was not a shortcut. It went the way it had always gone, and people knew every stone on it by name.
The Path of Memory is a route that exists because of who walked it, not because of where it leads.
