Twin Peaks
The Paps of Anu in Kerry are two rounded hills named for a goddess, and someone in the Bronze Age went up and built a stone cairn on each summit — at exactly the point that completes the shape the name implies. It is the oldest piece of landscape editing in Ireland, and it is a joke you can see from thirty miles away.
Twin Peaks stands in a tradition of reading the land as a body and then improving on it.
