There are something like forty thousand ringforts in Ireland — circular earthen enclosures, one to a farm, built and lived in for a thousand years. They are the most common ancient monument in the country and almost nobody visits them, because there is one in the next field.
Circle of the Coast uses the shape this island built its ordinary life inside.
